  • G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH / 1 Stick faulty?

    Hello,
I am experiencing strange behaviour with my machine: spontaneous reboots, broken Zip-Archives while unzipping, and crashes like "xyz.exe doesn't work anymore".
    My computer consists of:
    Asrock 890FX Deluxe3,
    Phenom II 1055T,
    some Radeon 5850
    and a total of 8G Ripjaws F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH (that's 4x2 GB Sticks).
Everything runs at stock settings besides bumping RAS/CAS-timings from 9 to 7 clocks (doesn't make any difference for the upcoming though)

In order to check the components, I've run Linx 0.6.4 and Intel Burn Test - both failed in short time due to errors.
So I tested all RAM-sticks one by one with memtest 086+: 3 were fine and one spills out errors:

Is that stick broken? Can it be rescued? And: In case of RMA - do you need both sticks of that kit or just the faulty one?

    Thank you kindly,
    d.

Sounds like that one stick is defective. Simply send it in for a new replacement.

You can return just the one stick.

    Thank you
