Hello everyone,
I have found tons of forums on this exact issue, but none have solved my problem. I installed 12GB of DDR3 1600 into my new machine, but unfortunately, it is only seeing 8GB in both bios and in windows. However, each stick of ram works and each memory slot on the board works (tested). This makes me sure it is the timings. I set the timings to my ram suggested setting, but I have had no luck with that.
Clearly everyone here is well versed in how to get motherboards and ram playing nice with each other. I will post my system parts in my signature. I don't care about overclocking because prior to adding the extra 6GBs of ram, I was running very well with the CPU already with no issues. I only bought the extra 6GBs because I wanted to make sure I got matching sets for future needs instead of having to mismatch.
So if someone can provide me with exactly what I need to change in my bios to make my system run correctly with Triple Channel instead of its current dual channel according to CPUId and running more than 800Mhz (also CPUId).
Thanks,
~Spirit
