F3-12800CL6D-4GBPI on MSI 890FXA

Hi,
So, I put this in my computer and it started running at 1333mhz and 9-11-11-29. I set the FSBRAM to 1:4, which made the memory run at 1600. It did, but the timings were still not right. I then went into the BIOS and tried to get it to run 6-8-6-24 but it fails to POST. DRAM voltage is 1.6v. Does this mean it can't hit the specified timings?

The last time I overclocked was 7 years ago, so things have changed. I might be doing something wrong

Try higher timings to see if it is capable. 7-8-7-24. Let me know the results.

I just tried and it is capable of booting up at that speed. I assume its stable although I'm not sure

Not all AMD systems are capable of DDR3-1600 CL6, and since CL7 booted fine, that is probably the case. If you have more issues, just let us know and we will be here to help.
