  • F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ ram settings

I have F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ ram kit installed in a asus p5e3 pro board. The other gkill ram I had was showing errors so I bought that kit. I have
    fsb set to 333
    pcie 100
    ram freg 1333,
    timing 9-9-9-24
    and voltage set at 1.5.

I was a stable system so I don't want to oc my system. Is those setting correct? Someone said to set the voltag to 1.6 instead of 1.5 because of three sticks but I don't want to hurt the board or ram by setting it to high
I ram memtest86 on it. on the sec pass it showed 100 percent done but kept running test 8. But the ram didn't show any errors with it. It took over three hours though. I think that test isn't made for more then 3 gigs.

You will need to set FSB to 400 to reach DDR3-1600. Otherwise, all other settings are fine.

      333 okay?

So, would 333 setting and 1333 hurt the ram? I want the system very stable is why I dind't oc the fsb to 400.

No, CPU FSB 333 and DDR3-1333 is just fine. If you want DDR3-1600, then you simply have to adjust CPU FSB to 1600MHz. If you decide to stay at DDR3-1333, you can use 8-8-8-24 timings and this will have better performance.
