  • Foxconn Blackops and F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

I cannot get F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL to run properly on my Foxconn Blackops motherboard. The first time I installed the RAM I got a BSOD but then tinkered with the memory timings and got it to boot. After that I got the odd BSOD (about two a day) so I tinkered a bit more but now I cannot boot with two RAM sticks at all (POST stops on LED code C1 which is the auto-detect RAM/L2 cache phase).

I have set timings of 9-9-9-24 2T Trfc 88 with voltage at as near as the BIOS will set it to 1.5V. Does anybody know what else needs to be tweaked to get things to work?

    My setup is as follows:

    Motherboard: Foxconn Blackops
    BIOS version: 7A3F1P06
    CPU: Intel QX9770 Quad Extreme
    Memory: 4gb G.Skill RipJaws F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
    Graphics: ATI Radeon 4870X2
    PSU: OCZ ModXStream 700w
HDD: Maxtor 500gb SATA and Seagate 500gb SATA
    CD/DVD: ASUS SATA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Odd, send those in for new replacements. May have been a bad set, surely seems so now.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I seem to have sorted out the problem after doing a bit of reading on the internet. For owners of a Foxconn Blackops motherboard, you have to raise the northbridge voltage to about 1.4v if you want to run 4gb RAM at 1600mhz because the default nb voltage is far too low.

      Best regards.
