  • BIOS says 1333MHz and CPU-Z says 667 - Help Please...

    System Info:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE (C3 Stepping)
MB: Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 (F2 Firmware Rev)
MEM: F3-10666CL8-2GBHK (4 Sticks, Dual Channel)

    My Question:
My memory is rated for 1333 MHz but my system defaults to 667MHz (at 9-9-9-24 2T according to CPU-Z and AOD). What can I do to at least get 1066MHz or even take full advantage of the 1333MHz?

    Thank you for your help!

          Timings?

Currently my timings are 9-9-9-24 @ 1333MHz. Would I benefit from going to the 8-8-8-21 that is printed on the mem chips themselves as the recommended timings?

Thanks for any help you can offer...

Yes, the timings should be 8-8-8-21. Once you set that, everything will be complete.
