  • ASUS Rampage III Extreme & F3-12800CL7T2-12GBPI

    Hello,

I'm running that combination with an i7-930 CPU and I'll go crazy
If I leave the default settings, sometimes only 6GB, at next boot up to 10GB, and sometimes the expected 12GB will be detected.

The settings for default are (1066MHz and all to auto):
    QPI/DRAM: 1.204 V
    DRAM: 1.501 V
    CPU: 1.184 V

I have tried different voltage combinations.
If the system will be overclocked to 3.2GHz the last stable settings detecting 12GB were:
    (All voltages set manually)
    BCLK: 200
    Mutliplier: 16
    QPI/DRAM: 1.23 V
    DRAM: 1.52V
    CPU: 1.25 V
    CPU/PLL: 1.8 V
    IOH: 1.10 V
    IOH PCI: 1.5 V
    ICH: 1.1 V
    ICH PCI: 1.5 V
    DRAM Timings set to: 7-8-7-24
    RAS to RAS: Auto
    REF Cycle Time: 88
    Timing Mode: 2N

    CPU Advanced settings:
    C1E Support: disabled
    C-State Tech: disabled
    Intel Speed Step: enabled
    CPU TM Function: disabled

... and if the system will be boot up next day, the same sh*t goes on, detecting sometimes only 4GB next time 6, 10 12 ...

    What I'm doing wrong?

Set XMP Profile, check what QPI/DRAM Voltage is at AUTO, then manually set it slightly above that.

Check the sticky on the main page too.

    Thank you

Hello I have tried the settings you describe on the sticky and in other posts but without success.
If the computer will boot the first time only 6GB will be detected. After a simple shutdown and restart after a few seconds, the whole 12GB will be detected.

I have chosen the XMP profile and was surprised when the DRAM voltage was set to 1.9V. This does not represent the specifications of 1.5V or does it?

As I have seen in this post http://gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=3349 the voltage of the XMP Profile is 1.5V. So I got an old 12GB kit? Can I exchange the kit, I bougth it in may.

      Thanks in advance.

Probably a bit late on this, but bent pins on that board will cause this to happen frequently.

          RAM is probably fine.
