  • F3-12800CL7 on ASUS P5E3 Pro

    Hi,

    Memory: 2x2GB G-Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL7
Mainboard: ASUS P5E3 Pro, BIOS 0505
    CPU: Intel Q8300
    OS: Win7 32bit

    BIOS-Settings are to defaults (auto).

I get a lot of random BSOD:

I made a memtest and it shows me errors.

What are the correct BIOS settings to get a stable system?

    Actual settings:

    Thanks!

Manually set the frequency, timings, and voltage, then retest.

        To which values?

The ones on your memory, or memory packaging. If you have the RipJaws RH Series, it should be 7-7-7-21. If you have the RM Series, it should be 7-8-7-24.

          Thank you

I've tried 7-8-7-24 with DRAM voltage 1.60V (written on the sticker) but still get errors with memtest...

Test them one at a time to see if one module may be defective.

I've tested them one by one without any errors (~24h tests).
As soon as i put both together (dual channel), i get errors after e view minutes...

                Whats next?

Now i've got a stable system using following settings with dual channel:
                  CPU Ratio Setting: 07.5
                  DRAM Frequency: DDR3-1333Mhz
                  DRAM Voltage: 1.60

Well, it's not FSB400, but better than BSOD all the time...

You may need to increase FSB Termination Voltage to stabilize CPU FSB 400.

                    Thank you
