  • F3-12800CL9Q and Asus M4A88TD-M

Just wondering about compatibility between the new Asus M4A88TD- and F3-12800CL9Q

I got it to work with info here from another Asus board by manually jacking up 3 voltage settings. I was wondering about future compatibility. Can I assume that a future ROM will be compatible? Just wondering what G.Skill has to say about this.

They will indeed be compatible. We work side by side with ASUS to bring you the best.

How I got it to work

In case someone else has the same problem I do.

On power up press the memory button on the motherboard to get it to come up at all. Once you have it up if there's a bios upgrade - install it. Here's the manual setting I set because as of May 5 the bios isn't compatible.

      DRAM Voltage 1.6
      HT Voltage 1.4
      NB Voltage 1.2

My ROM version is 1104. In the future a newer one might just work.

Thank you for the valuable information. Additional voltage is needed when operating more than 2 modules, but once it is supplied, everything should run just fine as you have discovered.
