Hi all, I recently finished off the upgrades to my system with a set of G-Skill F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT and an ASUS M4A78LT-M LE motherboard. Everything was running great, for about 4 days. this morning though, I had a random BSOD crash. afterwards I had to go into safe mode and uninstall/reinstall avast! anti-virus, because it would lock up the system on startup. a few hours later, another BSOD. then another, ad nauseum. by the end of the day, I've had 10 crashes.
I ran Memtest on the two sticks I have in currently and it failed and restarted about 5 seconds in. So, I tried with just one stick, and it went through the whole test, but failed about 30 times during test number 7. So, I tried the other stick. Same basic idea. So I put both back in, instant crash.
I switched the two sticks, still no luck.
Is this suddenly faulty RAM, or is there a different culprit? I have tried setting the specified timings, 9-9-9-24, 1.5v, and it didn't help. Any ideas, or should I just RMA?
