  • F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ and M4A785TD-EVO = Blue Screen

I'm having some difficulties with a setup I've built. Here are the specs:

    M4A785TD-EVO
    F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ (X2 so 8GB total)
AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 955

    Overlocked settings:

    tCL - 9
    tRCD - 9
    tRP - 9
    tRAS - 24

    DRAM Frequency - 1600
    DRAM Voltage - 1.6V

I haven't adjusted the HT or NB voltages, they are at default.

I'm getting blue screen of death after about 2 days of use. It will then persist. Installing Windows 7 64bit will also produce an occasional blue screen.

Do I have defective ram or moberboard? I'm getting these blue screen without adjusting ram bios settings, and also with adjustments for 1600. I know that this ram isn't listen on Asus's compatible list for the MOBO, but I have seen other posts on here and newegg reviews of people with the same config.

    Any thoughts? Much appreciated.

Also just to include this, there is a similiar thread which I followed exactly as this user, but I still get BSOD. Could this really be defective RAM?

Ok upon even further investigation on this forum I am definately getting a "cold boot" problem with this motherboard, as indicated in another thread.. It will work fine until the system is powered down for 8-10 hours.
