  • F3-12800cl9d-4gbnq + msi p55-cd53

    Hi!

I just get rid of OCZ Gold Low voltage and now I am happy user of 4gb (2x2gb) F3-12800cl9d-4gbnq (with i5 and HD5770, OCZ PUS, Windows 7 64bit, MSI P55-CD53 newest 1.6 BIOS).

    1. Memory seems to work just perfect but is not running in 1600mhz (even with Auto, Non-OC settings). I am not sure, is that particular memory fully compatible with above main board. Anyway - could you give me a proper settings please?

    2. I see in my BIOS "XMP" option, but turning that on to "auto" lead me to the "clear CMOS" Should I bother this option.

    3. Please take a look bellow. Is everything OK? May I go any better? Memory timings and voltage is set to auto (1.5)
Would be a huge difference between 800mhz and 722? Cheers!

You'll need to find the right memory multiplier for your bus speed. Right now you have it set at 180.5 x 4= 722MHz. You'll need to set that to 200 x 4 for 800, or 160 x 5. The only problem with 160 is that you will be limited to 3.20GHz for the CPU frequency. So if you want to keep CPU Frequency at 3.6GHz, you will need to use a bus speed of 200 with 18X CPU Ratio, and that should give you 3.6GHz, with the memory ratio at 4X for DDR3-1600 (800MHz).

    Thank you

My problem is: I am setting by hand 200 in BIOS - CPU-Z and OCCT showing 200.4 and memory 801.8

I can't set 199,5 - I did as you said: 200 x 16, memory set to have 1600, voltage set to 1.6 timings set to auto. regards and thank you,
