Hey all. Just built a new pc with the F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL ripjaws and basiclly all im looking for is what ever settings i need to change to make it run at 1600 instead of 1333. I changed the memory setting to 1600 in the bios but nothing changed.

    Here are my specs

    Mobo: Evga P55 SLI 132-LF-E655-KR LGA1156
    Chip: Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield 2.8GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
    Memory: F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Now im not all into OC'ing the crap out of stuff, just looking to get the memory to work as intended.

    Thanks

If you changed DDR Frequency to 1600 in BIOS, it should operate at 1600, or not POST. What you also do is enable the XMP Profile, and that should automatically detect and set all memory settings for you.

    Thank you

Sorry to bring this back up, but what you told me to do did not fix the issue.

What it says in windows 7: Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00gb (2.49GB usable)

Sorry, i am a bit of a noob when it comes to tweaking stuff.

Check for Memory Hole Remapping in BIOS, or try reinstalling Windows, but if you continue to have the same problem, send the memory in for new replacements.
