  • Need bios settings to run at 1600 rated speed

My motherboard is defaulting G.SKILL Ripjaws to 1333mhz. What settings do I need to set in bios to get these ram modules running at their rated speed?

    Here are my system specs:
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

    AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor

    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

    Thank you.

      More bios configuration questions

      Under the Dram timings configuration:

      1. There are two timing options: Dct0, Dct1, or both. which do I select?
      2. The correct DRAM frequency is 800mhz, correct?
      3. I don't see any option to set the CMD value to 2N. Under CPU-Z windows program, command rate is showing up as 1T. How can I set the CMD to 2N?

      Thank you.

        1. Both
        2. Yes, 800MHz real frequency x 2 = DDR3-1600 effective frequency
        3. You can simply leave CMD to 1T. Not all systems are able to operate 1T, but it is faster than 2.

        Thank you

The memory runs at 1600 at the 9-9-9-24 timings. However, because it runs at 1t command rate it is slightly unstable. From what I've read, increasing the voltage of the ram increases the stability to accommodate for 1t CR.

Can you give me some safe overvolting parameters that won't void my warranty please?

            ~1.550V would be sufficient.

            Thank you
