  • F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ @ 1333 or 1066

    What timings/voltages should I run this memory at 1333 or 1066 ? Same as 1600? 99924 2n 1.5v?

Reason I ask is that I already had this memory in my M/B before realizing a tiny little note saying 12GB isn't supported on the Asus Rampage II Gene at 1600.

So, I ordered another 6gb to go to 12GB and will most likely have to run it at 1333 or 1066 to get the full 12, won't know until it arrives.

    Thanks

It's worth a shot, you may be able to stabilize it by increasing some voltages such as the QPI/DRAM Voltage to 1.45V-1.50V.

But at DDR3-1333, you can simply use 8-8-8-24-2N 1.50V

    Thank you

Excellent, thanks. I'm getting the memory in 2 days. I'll try to get 12 at 1600, if that doesn't work I'll set them back to 1333 at 8's. Thanks again.

Any other settings I should try other than QPI?

Yea, some CPU overclocking settings =) but we can do that afterwards if you are interested.

Just booted up. It saw 10gb without any changes. I set the QPI/DRAM voltage to 1.44, which shows up as yellow "warning"

I hard booted, and it sees 12gb. No crashes or locks so far. Hoping this is stable and wont fry anything.
