  • gigabyte x58a-ud3r / F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI - memtest freezing

    Hi Gskill,

Here is my setup and issue.

    I7- 920
    gigabyte x58a-ud3r
    F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI
    Intel SSD G2

With normal bios settings defaults , I am not able to run memtest with out it crashing.
It stops at 4 sec or 7%

I am not sure about what defaults should be , Im not looking to overclock . Just for the system to be able to run memtest

I have already flashed the bios to latest one which is 03/12/2010
Gigabyte recommends this version of memory for the board
    F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD

Can you tell me the difference ?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

      Hello,

Memtest 3.5 is still freezing at 4 seconds or 7%

Anything else I can try ?

      Thanks

Try memtest 4.0 instead. Is the system stable? As far as booting into Windows, running programs, etc.?

        Thank you
