  • G.Skill ripjaws 1600 CL7 + Maximus Extreme = I'm going to set fire

    hi.
I wanted to know if you can help. I have an Asus Maximus Extreme motherboard go with a memoir G.skill ddr ripjaws 1600MHz CL7 and the problem is that if the reports are configured in bios to the speed / timings / voltages and XMP profile work perfect, but who are at 1600MHz fsb has to be the processor 400. and I want to put it to 450x9 for the 4GHz but these memories I will not let me, because if the low below 1600 MHz and the pc will not start if either starts over 1600MHz. It's driving me crazy, I have to replace the memories? I see that this person has got it all.

That happens to that person is exactly what happens to my.

    tests here

    -memory at 1600MHz (400x9 3.6GHz) = perfect

    -reports to 1501mhz (450x9 4GHz) = fail (holding same timings of 7-8-7-24 and 1600MHz same voltage, 1.60V)

and truth and not to do, I feel like setting fire to this ****.

some form of processed by RMA and replace them?

    greetings and thanks in advance

PD: Sorry my bad English (translated by google .........)

If they test fine at 1600MHz (400x9 3.6GHz), the memory should be fine. Double check settiings/voltages, otherwise it may simply be a BIOS limitation. Some motherboards have problems with certain dividers.

          Thank you
