ASUS M4A79XTD EVO vs. GIGABYTE GA-790XTA-UD4

Just wondering what the techs & users on this forum have to say about the above MOBO's with the following RAM:

F3-12800CL9-4GBNQ

I know some of the techs have tried to sway me away from the EVO, but it just sets up perfectly for what I want to do (4770 x 2 xFire, 555/955 BE C3). The Gigabyte board is a bit more money, but in the long run may be the best board for me.

Both these boards are on the QVL for this RAM.

I'm surprised about the vote of confidence in the EVO. Reading NewEgg's customer reviews it looks like hit or miss.

What about the new fandangled 890GX/850 chipset boards. I may want to attempt to tri-fire two 4770's with them...

That would definitely be the next best thing, to get a 890GX chipset. I'm sure either way will be just fine. You simply have to know what you are doing, or get the proper assistance. Unfortunately it's hard to get sometimes, but we will be here! =)
