Hello,
System: Intel DP55WB, i7 860 2.8GHz
Memory currently installed: 2 x 2GB of
F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH 7-7-7-21 DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
Amazing to discover an i7 with 4GB is terribly slower than a Quad-core with 8GB
I would like to add 2 x 4GB DDR3 modules -
possibly one at first, then a second due to financial restrictions...
My closest available guess is:
F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL 9-9-9-24-2N DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
My preference would be to purchase Cas 7, 4GB modules
- but I cannot find them at 10666 or higher at 1.5v.
(and I do not want to run 1.6v memory)
There is a Cas 7 - but the speed is much slower:
F3-8500CL7D-8GBRL 7-7-7-18 DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)
Please can someone recommend what the best performing configuration given I own the 2 x 2GB mentioned above?
Will there be problems with Cas 7 versus Cas 9?
If I pick the Cas7 4GB - is the system going to not perform at 1333, will the 1066 slow down the other bank?
More Importantly - Is G.Skill going to release a 4GB Cas7 10666 or higher soon???
Thank you,
Todd
