  • Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBRM

I'm sure you've seen this before but there are so many threads here its easier if I just make a new thread.. (sorry)

I'm getting random BSOD's primarily from cold boot. Memtest isn't showing any errors but I suspect its a memory timing issue from reading the other threads here.

What are the correct timings I should be using for these?

If you are experiencing "cold boot", you will need to send those in for a new set.

Aww man... that stinks.. Things work fine once I get the thing running. But at cold boot it goes craptastic..

Are those sticks ok to use for my mobo? I've noticed lots of people having issues here..

As far as RMA goes, I'll have to buy a new set before I can send these back.. I can't be W/O a PC for any length of time whatsoever..

It does stink, but once you have them replaced you should have no problems at all. Those sticks should have no problems on that motherboard.

          Sorry for the inconvenience

Thanks for the help. I've been wanting to upgrade to 8 gig of ram anyways. LOL

                new issue

Ok. I picked up the second pair of ram and installed it.

For some reason it will only run at 1333 with my bios set on auto.

If I manually set the speed and timing, I have system hang issues.

                Help?

*edit* oh ya I am sending back the first pair with the "cold boot" issues by the end of this week.

Ok. I'm getting random hangs and memtest comes back with errors on the new ram too.

I'm starting to not like GSkill very much.

                    NB Frequency x11 2200MHz
                    CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V

The CPU is probably struggling to support the memory.

                    Thank you

                      CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V

                      BIOS says Minimum = 0.8000V Max = By CPU Interval = 0.0125

What exactly should I be setting that to?

                        NB Frequency x11 2200MHz

                        You sure that's right?

                          Yes, and 1.20V.

If I put in X11 and 2200 my CPU runs at 2.2.

Its stock speed is supposed to be 3.4.

Did you place load on the system? Where are you looking at 2.2GHz? In idle state, your CPU Frequency stays low, then as you place load it should increase. If that's not it, double check CPU Ratio and FSB. The suggested changes should not affect the CPU frequency.

                              Thank you
