  • F3-12800CL9-2GBNQ cold boot issues

I have an MSI X58 Platinum SLI (MS-7522) motherboard with 6 GB (3*2GB) of F3-12800CL9-2GBNQ Ram, and constantly get the blue screen of death after a cold boot, and relatively rarely during running applications as well. My question is what are the dafault settings and timings that should be applied for the Ram in the BIOS (it's the latest version), because I have a feeling the BIOS set it up automatically to non-default timings, and if anyone has any other suggestions?

    Ragards,

In BIOS, set DRAM Frequency to DDR3-1600. DRAM Timings need to be set to tCL 9 - tRCD 9 - tRP 9 - tRAS 24 - Command Rate 2. DRAM Voltage 1.50V. Once that is complete, everything should run just fine.

    Thank you

Try increasing the QPI/VTT Voltage to 1.40V. If you continue to have issues, simply post up pictures of the BIOS so I can see what may be set incorrectly.
