  • Eco 7-8-7 1.35v on AMD system

Hi , I want to know what is the max voltage of the eco serie ram ( the f3-12800 CL7 those at 1.35v)? I run them at 1.57v right now and im wonder if they can handle it 24/7?
I use a ram cooler and they are cold after 3 hour of prime95 blend ...

I manage to get the rated spec with 1.57v but only by lower the ram multi to 1333 divider and OC the fsb to get the ram back to 1600 , after that they accept 7-8-7-24-33-2t and boot every time. Lets the divider to 1600 at those specs its a clear cmos for sure.

Most AMD motherboards can not run DDR3-1600 CL7. It is a BIOS limitation, but if you simply use 8-8-7-24, it should run just fine. The memory voltage is fine.

      So far I manage to get 7-8-7-24-40-2t at 1600 @ 1.57v with a gigabyte ga-790xta-ud4 with a phenom II 965 c3 with a NB of 2640 @ 1.25v

This ram was on the gigabyte list for this motherboard after all and so far they work good.

Im gonna try to push them a little more tonite, maybe trying to get cl6 out of them, I will report later if I can push them there.

Is 1.6v is still safe to run with a good cooler? I hear they dont scale well after 1.6 so that probably they limit...

Yes, 1.60V should be fine, many have used that much to run DDR3-2000+.

Well I up them at 1.60v they boot only 1 time out of 2 at 7-7-7-24-40-2t

I read somewhere that phenom II prefer tight timming on 1600 than lose timing on 2000+ So im gonna stick with 7-8-7-24-40-2t @ 1600 look like its the sweet spot for the ram and I cant get more out of them
