Bring thetfrc to 160ns and cpu voltage to 1.4 also sb/ht voltage to 1.4 also the DDR3 start at 1.65 and see if it will run if not leave the other settings and raise the DDR3 a click higher till you see what runs, this should get your 8 gigs running

Thanks Repman! (still a little confused over all the acronyms, but I think i'll eventually work it out).

Ok, I'm trying 9-9-9-27 timings (rest on default until I can work out what is what).. and bumped ram voltage to 1.6volts.

I'll see how that goes. Hard to know if it works, as BSOD can take 1hour or 1 week.

Your welcome, if you can take a picture of your MIT or tweaking panels, both the voltage panel and the DRAM with all the numbers for the ram I can walk you through it easier. Also tell me if your running the updated BIOS for your board and cpu.

So, you have everything at default, and it crashes? Only in Windows or with Memtest86 as well?

Have you tried a fresh Windows 7 install without any software from ASUS - just the chipset drivers from Intel? Have you tried removing the EPU software? Do you have an AV - have you removed it? Have you tried 2x2 and is it stable? Are you using the crappy stock cooler on the CPU? How's the air flow in your case? Are you using ACPI, RAID or IDE in the storage config?

You can try this: reset to default settings in the BIOS - don't just manually reset each value. Then, try to raise the memory voltage to 1.6v and the IMC to 1.3-1.35v. If stable, lower by 0.05. Install TurboV (don't oc with it - just check the voltages in Windows to make sure they are well set - my board had random voltage hikes up to 2v!!). Do not use EPU!

After the ordeal I went through with my P7P55D, I doubt it's your ram.

With the XMP Profile enabled, the system should run just fine. If not, the motherboard or memory may be defective. To test memory, simply try each one individually. If one has problems and the other doesn't, it is a memory issue.

I bought my P7P55D LE board and F3-12800CL8T-6gbpi RAM back in November last year and I have the same problem when running Windows 7 Enterprise x64
I needed my PC for work and couldnt wait, so I left just 4Gb in there and I loaded Windows XP (32bit) on it and it has run flawlessly for me since.
Im now trying to go back to Windows 7 so I reloaded a few more times, using different media etc and it bsod's randomly, even during install.

Im going to memtest the sticks, but could anyone explain why Windows XP doesnt have any issues?
