  • Gigabyte MA790fxt-ud5p setting for 16000cl9d-4gbrh

first off I'm not a OC'er. I tried searching for the correct setting to get the memory to work at the correct speed without luck. I'm hoping someone here can help me by letting me know what setting I should use.

    Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P
    Bios F8C
    Phenom IIx4 955 BE
    G.Skill 16000cl9d-4gbrh

    Thank you for any help!

Good Luck I have the same board, just take a look at my post. I just returned them since there not worth the hassle and G.skill has dismal support at best. These modules were made for Intel, your best best is to get OCZ AMD Black Edition Memory Profiles (BEMP) ram.

The reason why they are made for Intel is because most AMD platforms can't even run DDR3-2000.

Try setting memory frequency to DDR3-1600
      Memory timings tCL 8 - tRCD 8 - tRP 8 - tRAS 24 - Command Rate 2
      Memory Voltage - 1.60V

If that is stable, then simply raise the CPU FSB Frequency until it is unstable. Then raise the HT Voltage and NB Voltage to see how high you can get the memory to operate. The max you will want to use on both of these is 1.40V. On average, most users have hit road blocks near DDR3-1700 with this particular combination.

      Thank you
