  • F3 12800CL8T looking for baseline spec

New system, have read numerous posts and tried various settings. Still experiencing BSOD's at random intervals. Currently running downclocked per the sticky on AMD memory controller limitations (7-8-8-19 1T @ 1066 MHz). Updated BIOS and all drivers are current. All hardware is new.

Was wondering if someone could provide some base settings to work off of.
    System:
    MSI 790GX-G65
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Editon 3.2 GHz
    G.Skill F3-12800CL8T 6 GB
    EVGA Geforce GTX260
    730w PSU
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

    Thanks in advance...

    Simply set DRAM Frequency to DDR3-1600. Memory timings tCL 8 - tRCD 8 - tRP 8 - tRAS 24 - Command Rate 2. Memory Voltage 1.60V

Once that is complete everything should be fine. Let me know how that goes.

Also, seems like you purchased a triple channel memory package while your motherboard is dual channel. If you use all three sticks, performance may actually be slower than if you were to use two. I would suggest returning it for a dual channel memory package, otherwise you may be stuck with an extra 2GB stick.

    Thank you
