  • Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3LR and GSkill F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT possible problem?

I have built a new system with a Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3LR motherboard ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128371 ) and 4 GB of GSkill DDR3 memory ( F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT - http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=97 ). My computer is experiencing random hard lockups - by hard lock I mean the entire system locks up and I have to do a hard reset. I have already checked the power supply and video card, which causes me to wonder if it could be the ram.

The memory has passed every memory test I have run - memtest86 over night and the HCI Memtest run from within windows. My OS is Windows 7 64-bit (Home Premium). From reading on this forum and others it sounds like some people with Gigabyte boards need to adjust the voltages or timings. Could this be my problem?

I'm only running two sticks, and I have the performance enhance set to "standard". Currently I have all voltages and timings using auto settings and everything looks fine. However I have tried setting the MCH voltage to 1.2 and the DRAM voltage to 1.6 and 1.64 - I have made all of these changes individually and together and each time the system continued to lock up. Sometimes it locks within 5-15 minutes, other times it goes 1-2 days before a lockup.

Could I have a voltage/timing issue or is it safe to assume that my problem is not related to my GSkill memory? Thanks in advance for any help.
