MSI P55-GD80 and G.Skill F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD

I've just built a new system with and MSI P55-GD80 mainboard, i7 860 and G.Skill two sets of F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD (total of 4 2GB sticks).

The system only recognized 4GB of physical memory. If I run only two sticks, then it recognizes on 2GB of physical memory - so it's as if only 1GB per stick is recognized.

I've updated the BIOS on the main board to the latest available version (1.5) and it made no difference.

Anyone here able to give me some pointers?

Try reseating the CPU and memory modules. Make sure they are firmly installed. If you continue to have an issue, simply send them in for new replacements.
