  • Asus m4a79xtd evo & f3-12800cl7d ram

I got these recently and have been having trouble. Setting the timings or even the voltage manually led to instability and sometimes would refuse to boot giving the overclock failed message.

I was told there may be a BIOS update or something. I'm running ok with all settings to AUTO but am getting less than stellar performance out of the RAM.

You will need to use 8-8-7-24-Command Rate 2 timings and everything should be fine.

    Thank you

Should I set the voltage and mhz too or leave them on auto?

Go ahead and manually set them as well.

Just tried and I can use the computer for less than a minute before it blue screens and I have to shut down. Everything on auto works great but it's just a lot slower. Any idea what the problem is? I used all the settings you recommended.
