  • Erratic booting with g skill (4 modules 1600)

Could a g skill technician or anyone please help. My last (first ever post ) did not get a reply

    I have the following:
    Asus P7P55D
    intel i5 750 2.66GHZ
    4*2 (8MB) G Skill F3 128000cl80-4GBRM(1600MHZ)
    Timings XMP 9 9 9 24 89 2T 1.6V
The issue I have is that when 4 modules are inserted The computer will not cold boot. It is ok when it eventually boots.
I have tried underclocking but it makes it worse.
3 modules (6MB) give no problems. on windows seven 64 bit.
    Please help.

To make it clear it does not boot with 4 modules on a cold boot, but boots ok rest of the day unless left off a few hours .IS ok with 3 modules of memory

sorry....but we only guarantee for 2 dimms in dual channel could reach our rated spec, not 4 dimms
while installing 4 dimms, the memory controller may get too heavy loading to make it difficult to reach the same spec of 2 dimms
would you like to increase CPU vtt voltage to 1.3-1.35v?
because you have to overclock your i5 750 to run DDR3 1600, you may need to increase some voltage to improve the stability
      thanks

Try setting the memory settings manually to the memory package as the XMP Profile doesn't seem to be picking up the correct settings.

        Thank you
