  • Gigabyte GA-P55-UD4P

I bought 2 sets of F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH for a total of 8 Gigs of ram. I'm running this on a Gigabyte GA-P55-UD4P, with Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. In the bios, I changed the memory timing to 7-7-7-21, voltage at 1.5 (auto). It shows that all 4 banks are 2048, but the next line shows only Channel A active. Memory was reseated, no change. Memory order was reversed, no change. mobo bios flashed to latest, now it shows Channel B active, Channel A inactive. new bios seemed glitchy, so I re-flashed in the old code. Channel A active, B now inactive. In Windows system information, shows 8 Gigs installed (4 Gigs active). Machine is seems very stable, no rebooting, no blue screens of death, etc. How can I get all 8 Gigs to be active?

Bump to help anarky & myself.

If I may chime in without creating another UD4P post...

I've got the same problem but with F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM for a total of 8 Gigs of ram and I'm suffering the same symptoms as anarky with the UD4P. (8 gigs seen 4 gigs active.)
