New rig in the works, and I got the memory last week, and the heatspreaders were not making complete contact with the chip. I mean almost all the corners were not sticking to the chip.
Since I don't like the color anyway (no offense if you do like it) I was going to replace the heatspreader with some copper Vantec's. Problem is I do not want to take the original's off if it is going to void my warranty.
Sent an email but haven't heard back yet. Can anyone point in the right direction for getting an answer?
