Hi everyone,
I recently bought a pair of G.SKILL F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR DDR3-1866 RIPJAWSX SNIPER (dual kit, 4+4) in order to improve my RAM. Before I already had a couple of these, that resulting in a total of 16GB for my PC right now.
However when I check the speed of each one my computer indicates they are running at 800 MHz instead of the 1866 they are supposed to run at, or the 933 MHz, if the system is supposed to show half of the speed for each card as it is the whole kit that runs at 1866MHz.

After checking several forums I found I might had to activate Profile 2 in the BIOS. I activated it but when trying to boot the PC I got a message such as this one.

I already checked if my motherboard and CPU support these speeds and they do as per the manufacturer's site.
This is what my CPU-Z shows:

I bought this extra kit because when I used to boot my computer my RAM was already using 50% of its capacity. However with this extra kit it remains the same, just after turning it on my RAM is already using 50% of its capacity (now it is 16gb instead of 8gb). This is something I do not understand either. As now I have doubled my RAM, it is not supposed to be as busy as before. That made me think maybe the PC did not recognize this new kit? I already did several things in order to clear all the programs and stuff automatically working from turning on the PC as well as cleared the cach?.
As for my hardware, I have:
- AMD FX (tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor, 4000 MHz
- Gigabyte 990XA-UD3
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
I thank you all in advance for your kind help,
Haldir
