  • ddr3 ram on asus h81me mobo

I want to use this single kit ram, as two identical 8gb ddr3 in asus h81me mobo, since there's no dual kits available in local shops. Will ot support this mobo and will this ram run in dual channel if i buy two identical models ? Here's the asus mobo link

The memory is compatible; however, it is uncertain how well separate memory can work together but these are standard spec modules so there is a good chance.

So theoretically its possible to use two identical single 8gb ram in a dual channel mode, which the spec is listed on the ram, since my motherboard supports dual channel in general, is that correct? And is there any examples out there where two separate identical model ram didn't work together perfectly or vice versa? Any posts on the internet?

If you look for it, you should be able to find cases like that. It is more common when one of the modules is produced a long time after the other one, since then not only the DRAM type used, but also the organization of the module (due to a different/higher DRAM density) and in rare cases the programming of the SPD could have changed.

To circumvent that, the usual recommendation is to where possible instead get a kit of factory matched modules.
