    hallo Gskill,

    look at post#11
    Hallo,
even with the newest bios 915 no success.
in fact, we do not guarantee 4 dimms in dual channel on all motherboards
we only guarantee 2 dimms in dual channel would reach our rated spec
what do you mean, its not possible to run 8gb Gskill on asus?

@gpb500 thx again for You help,
tried with trfc 110 , again no sucess.

@techies on board: what the difference for the cpu (i860) , ram, mobo (asusp55 evo)
with 4 or 8gb ram on board?

See the ram any difference, why higher voltage?
See the cpu any diff? What diff?
    See the mobo diff?

i just want to understand the problem with asus and gskill, or intel?
thx a lot for any help.

as we said in other threads, running with 4 sticks would make the loading of memory controller much heavier than running with 2
then it would be much more difficult to run with 4 sticks than 2
and we always test our products 2 dimms in dual channel, so we only guarantee 2 dimms dual channel would reach our rated spec
we do not say it's impossible, but we don't guarantee
and this situation exists on every platform, not only Intel or AMD
I hope you could understand his explanation
