  • Gigabyte + Ripjaws - Please help stabilizae

Thank you for activating my account! I purchased some ripjaws and can't seem to get them to work. I have tried some settings suggested to other gigabyte motherboard users but the ram acts slow and crashes windows.

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 (latest bios)
This has a few settings in the bios to help clock ram. Profile 2 is extreme to bring ram to 2133mhz.

    CPU: intel Core i7-2600k

    Ram purchased: F3-2133C10D-16GXM

Settings I changed in order for it to boot at 2133mhz are below. It's very slow booting to windows and unstable in windows.

    Dram Voltage: 1.64
    VTT voltage 1.17
    vccssa 1.1 default .925

    TRFC 208
    TRRD 7
    TWTR 8
    TRTP 8
    TWR 16
    TFAW 27

Am I SOL or any other modifications? I appreciate the help!

    Thanks,
    Skillet

You probably need to max tRFC with a 2x8GB kit, raise it to at least 255 or higher if you can. The VTT and VCCSA vary from one processor to another, so if these are values copied from somewhere in the web you might have to adjust those to your own system.

Thank you emissary42! Changing the setting to 255 fixed them. I ran benchmarks compared to my old ram and it's a lot better. Much appreciated
