4x4GB or 2x8MB on P55 Board

MSI P55-GD65 board .....P55 Chipset Socket 1156 with i7-860 CPU.
Does anyone know if that board will support 2x8GB modules or must they be 4x4MB?
Manual says only support 4MB, but I don't think there were any 8MB sticks around when the manual was written. The G.Skill QVL show support for 2x8MB.
Anybody have that board, and using 2x8GB?
I've heard that board has more problems when using all 4 slots occupied, which is why I ask.

Should not have more problems when using all 4 slots.

8GB modules should work fine with that motherboard and CPU. That is what I recommend rather than using 4 x 4GB
