Gigabyte G1.Sniper H6 and Trident X

Gigabyte G1.Sniper H6 and F3-1600C7D-16GTX Trident X.

This combo isn't listed in the configurator but can anyone tell me why it won't work. Looking at the specs it should but I might be missing something. Trying to stay with cas 7. This is an option, F3-10666CL7Q-16GBXH, but would rather stay with 2x8 than 4x4.

The H97 chipset motherboard is capable for CL7 without issue, so you can use 1600MHz/CL7 Trident X for your system.
