  • Unable to configure timings

    Hi,

    I'm unable to configure default RAM timings on my motherboard.

    CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-77TA-UD3

    RAM: F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH - 7-7-7-21-2N

    My motherboard is taking auto timings (CL9)

    If I try to set the CL7 timings manually on my motherboard with 1.5v it says "the system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking"

    Please help me

    Thank you

    You need to enable the XMP via the EOCP function if that is available for your model. Otherwise you would have to manually set the secondary timings as well (you can get those from Aida64 > MB > SPD).

      Do you have the latest BIOS?

        Unfortunately EOCP function is not available in my model.

        In Aida64 you mean this values?

          I have the latest stable bios (F3), the newest is beta (F4B) and I don't want to install a beta bios

            Yes, those are the specified timings.

            You might have to use a tRFC of 160, since AMD models can only set predefined values of 90/110/160/300/350. 110 might already be to tight, but if you get everything working at a tRFC of 160 you can test if 110 is ok as well (it would give slightly better memory performance).

                Row Cycle Time should be 29, rest looks ok. Also set both interleaving functions on the bottom to AUTO if thats possible.

                If it still does not work, maybe set CAS latency to 8 just for testing purposes, since your board does not seem to let you configure tWL (otherwise you could raise tWL to 8 - in Gigabyte BIOSes you can make some advanced options visible via pressing F1).

                  I have tried with all your suggestions but it does not work (boot error).

                  Row Cycle Time -> 29
                  CAS# latency -> 8

                  Interleaving funcion only displays [enable - disable] and there is no key for advanced options.

                  Any other suggestions?
