How to setup F3-1600C11S with Asus P5Q3
Hi,
I'm, trying to boost my old PC that has an ASUS P5Q3 motherboard that states it supports DDR3-1600. It currently uses 2 OCZ 1Gb 1600 modules.
I've purchased 1x4Gb G.Skill DIMM described below, and I can't have the PC to boot - nothing appears on the screen.
I've painstakingly tried many configurations - each time booting my old memory, setting the BIOS parameters, and then inserting the new one - and none of them gave me any progress.
I've tried following past posts regarding this motherboard; i.e. OC to1600, manually setting memory voltage to 1.5V and setting latencies to 11-11-11-28, but had no progress.
Any hope of making this DIMM work on this motherboard?

- CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
- Memory:
G.SKILL AEGIS F3-1600C11S-4GiS
DDR3-1600-CL11-11-11-28 1.50V
PC3-12800 4Gx1 Intel XPM Ready
