I'm curious, as most places I've seen are either sold out / out of stock, in general. ..I'm looking to acquire a second set as I'm wanting to run 8GB and I love this ram.

The first kit I bought in 2009 and it ran rock-solid at 2000 till just a few months ago when I had to RMA. Now that I have a new kit, where would I get yet ANOTHER kit to go 8GB?

These have been out of production for a long time. In fact it is quite surprising to me, that you got it replaced 1:1 and not versus something more recent.

They do pop up at e*ay and other marketplaces for used hardware every now and then.
