2 XMP Profiles, what do they mean?

I got me some:

G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR

Looking high and low for info on the 2 profiles and can't find a damn thing.

You can compare them in e.g. Aida64 or HWInfo64. Probably one is the Enthusiast and the other the Extreme Profile. I don't think there are many differences between them for your specific kit. So just try either one.

Compare the two and their specifications. They should be about the same, so either should work fine with your system.

Thanks, some guy on the G. Skill FB page filled me in. I've got an MSI P67a-G45 Mobo, and it does take profile 1, but on 2 it kept on intermittently crashing and freezing my rig. I also kept getting errors on memtest. Profile 1 is solid as a rock.
