    Ram advice

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am interested in buying G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (2 x 8G) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) for my laptop computer but want to verify that it will work. Also maybe I should just use 8gb ram, I just don't know. Information will very much be appreciated, TYVM.

    I have an HP dv6-6145dx
2.4GHz/1.5GHz VISION A8 Technology from AMD with AMD Quad-Core A8-3500M Accelerated Processor
AMD Radeon HD 6620G Discrete-Class Graphics

    full specs here:

Crucial scanner tells me these are the ones that will be compatible
    Memory Type: DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-14900, DDR3 (non-ECC)
    Maximum Memory: 16GB

Although Crucial says the ddr3 pc3-14900 will work they only offer the one below.

    Part Number: CT2808359
    Module Size: 16GB kit (8GBx2)
    Package: 204-pin SODIMM
    Feature: DDR3 PC3-12800
    Specs: DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V • 1024Meg x 64 •

I would like to use the G.Skill Ripjaws Series above just need to know it will work before I buy Thank You again.

    Any advice will be appreciated

CL11 model should work, but I can not be certain about CL10 since we do not have that particular model laptop to test with.

    Thank you
