yes i know this is a picky ram and old board, but i have read that people have got this setup to work so far i have not. i can boot it with another stick of kingston ram but every time i try with the g skill and different settings all i get is the 3 beep headache
and yes it has the latest bios and i am using a Q6600
any help would be greatly appreciated

With the Kingston stick installed, set the RAM to DDR3-1066 7-7-7-21 1.50V, then swap the G.Skill memory in and see if that works. CPU FSB is 1066MHz so you can only use DDR3-1066 RAM.
