  • F3-1866C9Q-32GZH and ASUS X79 Deluxe

As per the title, can I use the F3-1866C9Q-32GZH with the ASUS X79 Deluxe (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/X79DELUXE)?

If not, what would be a better fit for this MOBO?

I can't imagine that they wouldn't however they are NOT listed on the gskill site as compatable so...

    [RipjawsZ] F3-1866C10Q-32GZM

    [Ares] F3-1866C10Q-32GAB

    [RipjawsZ] F3-14900CL10Q-32GBZL

are three options that are and are pretty similar.... I suspect that first kit could likely run the same timings as the kit you mentioned, the other two are just a smidge slower but honestly should be pretty damn impressive as well

EDIT: for a full list go here http://www.gskill.com/en/configurato...ip=28&model=64

Thanks, Supahos. I asked precisely because I didn't see the MOBO listed on the RAM, which I thought was a bit odd.

After poking around, I might go with this instead:

      http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-17000cl11q-32gbzld

Newegg specifically notes it's certified for ASUS motherboards, and designed for 2011. It's probably a better fit, really.

That is the point of all Ripjaws Z series ram, which is why I can't figure out why the original ones weren't on the list... just remember if you want to OC stuff... typically it goes... red ripjaws, blue ripjaws, Black ripjaws, Tridents in that order from worst to best performance
