  • 8Gb G.SKILL F3-17000CL8D-4GBXMD + GA-Z87X-OC ?

    Can you please confirm if my 8Gb G.SKILL F3-17000CL8D-4GBXMD will work on native 2133mHz (2100mHz in case of 4770K) 8 9 8 24 2T on GA-Z87X-OC without any trouble?

I'm a bit worry coz there are no my memory in official Memory Support List, there is same memory with CL9, but no mine :\

I want to use this motherboard with Intel Core i7-4770K.

Technically it should be ok, even with 16Gb i guess, but still, probably someone got this tested already?

Oh, and also i would like to know (for the future), is this really easy to boot sucesfully and stable with newer 2800 (CL11) - 3000mHz(CL12) G.SKILL memory using 4 x 4Gb = 16Gb in total?
    I mean on Core i7-4770K + GA-Z87X-OC.

Won't there be any problems as it was with 2000+ mHz on X58 system?

There shouldn't be any problems running one or two kits of F3-17000CL8D-4GBXMD at XMP settings. However the standard advice still applies: The XMP settings are valid for one kit only, so slight adjustments might be necessary (most of the time the UEFI automatics should take care of this).

It is a lot easier to hit DDR3-2666 and upwards with Haswell. With a good cpu sample and some Hynix MFR based TridentX kits even DDR3-3000+ is basically a walk in the park *G*

        Thank you very much!
Wow, you said XMP as if you can trust profile this days...
But i guess it's still more accurate to set base timings and voltages manually?

With a good cpu sample and some Hynix MFR based TridentX kits even DDR3-3000+
Is there any way to check how good the particular CPU sample is, without new 3000mHz TridentX bought yet? (i'll have my 8Gb G.SKILL F3-17000CL8D-4GBXMD by the time i'll buy Haswell)

I mean, in the future i would LOVE to buy 3000mHz memory, but firstly i need to make 100% sure that it will run all 16Gb kit smoothly on Haswell 24/7 without errors or BSODs.
It's just i had to buy CPU forst, coz sadly i'm not Rockefeller yet

P.S. And also there is a little problem in my stupid country, which is Russia. Like, we have technically records that 2600, 2666, 2800 mHz are in sotres, but there are no samples actually in stores, so the only highest frequency you can REALLY get in your hands now is 2400mHz, and it's a shame
Coz i can really buy Corsair on those frequency, but i would really like to go with G.Skill instead, do you think it is fixeable about new shipments? There are no 3000mHz records in stores yet at all btw, even with Corsair :\

P.P.S. Which one of TridentX kits are Hynix based and how can i check it for sure when i choose? Or they all made on Hynix?
