Double and triple channel

Hi!

I am currently running a i7 930 setup with 6GB of f3-16000cl9-2gbrh.

I am thinking about upgrading. Can i just get another module of this with 2 GB and get a new haswell or 1155 set-up and run it on double channel ?

If not what could i do to add another 6gb memory if i can't find that model any more ?

Just sell the system and get new RAM. The newer RAM is designed better for Haswell anyway.

Well, except i wouldn't get any money for it :-(

What about a 155 setup since haswell actually doesn't give you that much performance increase.

Is there any difference between double and triple channel RAM ?

Not much, the difference is only the number of modules that are matching to be used in a single computer.
