  • BSOD, need help with BIOS Settings

I posted on this forum to get help about 4 months ago, but with a move I had to put things on hold. I'm trying to install windows server 2008 but just before I get half way on the installation I get a bsod IRQL NOT LESS THAN error. I beleive it has to do with my bios settings.

I'm now actually getting a new error in addition to the bsod. "Error! the CPU Core to Bus Ratio is VID Configuration has failed! Please enter BIOS Setup and re-configure it.

I'm not sure what setting I should be changing to fix this issue.

Model of the motherboard: P45T-AD3 Black Series
    Model of the memory: F3-10600CL9D-2GBNQ
Model of the CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770
    Hard Drive: Hitachi HDS721010CL
    BIOS version: 02.61
    PSU: 750W (came with case)

I've tried setting the timings to 9-9-9-24 but I don't get a boot to the bios when I try that. Are there other settings I need to adjust? If so what are they?

Do you have the latest BIOS?

You may want to try a 10666 model instead of 10600, it should work better for that motherboard.

    Thank you
