Hi Tech Support,
I've searched and searched and have been unable to find a solution to my problem.
Windows 7 64-bit
CPU = AMD Phenom II X4 940 1.432v running at 3.4 GHz
Bus Speed = 200 Mhz
HT Link = 1800 MHz
Multiplier = 17
In memory slots 1 and 2, I have 2x2gb sticks of OCZ PC2-6400 RAM, which runs stable at 1066 with 5-5-5-15-26-2T timings at 2.1v.
I put the G.Skill RAM in slots 3 and 4, and with the settings listed above, the board boots, but hangs as soon as the Windows loading screen shows up. Changing timings to 5-5-5-15-42 does nothing. Still hangs. Adjusting HT voltage and NB voltage to 1.3v each does nothing. Still hangs. Changing all timing settings to [Auto] and leaving speed at 1066 does nothing. Still hangs. Took G.Skill ram out, booted right up.
Put G.Skill ram back in, changed settings to 1:2 (400 MHz) and [Auto] timings, boots up but slowly. Changed settings to 4-4-4-12, boots up, but slowly. Games run *more* choppy now than with just 4 gb OCZ. No noticeable improvement anywhere. CPU-Z shows 1066 timings for G.Skill to be 5-5-5-15-48-2T however the BIOS will only go up to 42. Is this a potential culprit?
Not sure how to get them to run stable at 1066. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
