My backup PC had 4 one GB sticks of RAM in it. F2-6400PHU2-2GBZX and F2-6400CL4D-2GBPK. The PC would periodically crash for no reason so I decided to run memtest to check the memory. When the memory test failed I tried each stick individually till I identified the culprit. One of the F2-6400CL4D-2GBPK sticks was the problem. I figured I post here before submitting an RMA form.
Here are the specs for my backup PC:
Intel Q6600 C2Q processor
Asus P5N-D motherboard
Nvidia GTX 260 video card
Enermax 750w PSU
Corsair 64GB ssd
Windows 7 premium 32bit
If there is anything else the G.skill tech want to know I will post it. The stick is rated for 1.9V to 2.0V. To make sure it wasn't a problem with the motherboard supplying voltage, I took the F2-6400PHU2-2GBZX sticks out (they are rated at 1.8V to 1.9) of the computer and bumped the volts to 2.1. The same stick failed the memtest. I tested the stick in each slot on the motherboard. If there is any thing else I should try let me know.
