  • PC8800 PI series fsb strap problem

    Motherboard : Rampage Formula
    CPU : Q6600
    RAM : PC8800 PI series


    My problem is that i can't get a boot if i i have an fsb strap higher than 266 and ram speed higher than 1000 mhz

    With 266 fsb strap i can also have a slight oc like 1128, with 333 i have to be on 960 in order to boot. Stock values, overclock values doesn't matter at all.


    Bios settings
    CPU Ratio 0.8
    Fsb Strap to NB 333
    Fsb Freq 450
    PCIE freq 101

    Dram 1081mhz (no boot) - 901mhz (boots)

    Memory settings auto
    CPU Voltage 1.4625
    CPU PPL volt 1.5
    NB Voltage 1.37
    DRAM Voltage 1.9
    FSB termination 1.075
    SB 1.5 V 1.50
    Loadline Calibration Enabled
    CPU Spread Spectrum Disabled
    PCIE Spread Spectrum Disabled
    C1E support Disabled
    CPU TM Function Disabled
    Max Cpuid Value Limit Disabled


    Everything else is on auto

    Bios version 1001

    Any ideas?

    Modules are gone?

    Should i start Rma process?

      Also i ve tried on a different motherboard an ASus P5E same settings wasn't able to boot

      I ve tried also what used to be my daily config and it doesn't work on both mainboards.

      Cpu Ratio 0.7
      Fsb Strap 333
      FSB freq 460
      Dram Freq 1105 Mhz

      NB 1.33V
      Dram 1.90V

        Managed to boot in daily with 1 stick


        Run Mem test (test 7 )for 45 minutes without any errors


        Tried the second one had 123 errors in 10 seconds

        Guess i have to RMA -_-
